Abigail (Abby) Cember, Ph.D. Director of Research Partnerships, Rhino Federated Computing (Boston, USA). Abby received her Ph.D. from the Biochemistry and Biophysics graduate group at University of Pennsylvania at the Center for Advanced Metabolic Imaging in Precision Medicine. She subsequently worked in consulting, focusing on healthcare markets in the Middle East, and for Yale University as a member of the dean’s office in the School of Engineering and Applied Science. She currently serves as the director of research partnerships at Rhino, where she oversees the use of the Rhino federated computing platform by academic and other research users. She works with doctors, engineers, data scientists and other technical specialists to deploy federated computing to execute projects previously intractable due to concerns about the security of models and data.
